NO DISREPECT. Though I really can’t deny the Ghanaian showbiz industry is really fast growing but the unnecessary songs are making head way too much, whilst the good and sensible ones are not been looked up to. Why? What’s happening to MUSIC industry in Ghana? But yet we claim *NO SIZE*. It’s a very very great opportunity for us to have bunch of musician who does all kind of music from all walks of genre ranging from Hip Hop, Hip Life, Pop, Rock and a lot more but yet we discard the good ones who does correct and real lifestyle tracks but yet we admit the stup*d ones.

Foremost, look at the so called tema superstars “R2bees” very soon to get lost in the system’s sound track dubbed ‘AJEeeii’!!! I salute the melody but nonsense lyrics which I WILL NOT RECOMMEND. No Hating and on the same nonsense song “AJEeeiii”, if you are really a good video producer, editor or director which I know I am not one, you really notice that music video have got excellent shots in it but yet bad lyrics which speaks not sense to the up growing youth who also blindly and idealistically dance AZONTO to the track. I don’t blame them though; maybe they are dancing to the beats. That track makes me feel like throw up. But Hey! Salute to the video.

And talking about the “Come and Taste My Apple and the Diamonlisous Singer” DIAMOND APPIAH, that wanna be LADY GAGA girl piss me off to the fullest. What kind of blasphemous lyrics is that? I’m speaking of her brand new single ‘TASTE MY APPLE which featured the up and down Tema rapper “STAY JAY” in it but Stay Jay wasn’t in the video and I guess a Stay Jay look alike flashed in the video. Big ups to Stay Jay, because if not stay jay, I vow, the song would have been USELESS. When I first listened to the song I enjoyed the beats and said to myself, OMG !! Diamond will hit with this song but something told me ‘LISTEN TO THE LYRICS BEFORE YOU CONCLUDE YOUR STATEMENT’. Whattttttttttttttttttttt I scream – STUP*D SOUND TRACK AKWAABA. How can a new face in the music industry record such a track? In the song, this is what the lyric states; – The power of a woman so strong can make you KILL your mama, so strong than Dollar, so strong than Pounds and even Naira. The power eeiieeiiii Power ei ei ei power eeeiiii (that part sounds like a kindergarten kid’s rhyme) lol.

Firstly how can the power of a woman make one kill his mama? Meaning, YOU ARE EVILIOUS! And second of all if that same power of a woman is strong enough than these currencies “THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DOLLAR, THE GREAT BRITAIN POUND and NIGERIAN NAIRA” as mentioned in that nonsense song, why are some women money hungry and chase us the guys for MONEY?? I don’t mean to be funny part, B*TCHES know we (GUYS) pay” and I’m not saying Diamond Appiah is a B*tch though we the guys handle the bucks (MONEY).

Still on the self – acclaim diva of all divas “DIAMOND’s” taste my apple track, there was a part where she made a statement which I agree somehow saying, The Body Of A Woman Can Even Make Your Past The Same and Drive You Crazy. Yes Yes for that I accept. In fact the men know because:

We were born out of the body of a woman plus

We spend all our time and money just to get into the body of a woman because there is no place like home.

I respect that side of the Diamonlisous singer lyrics and I know most guys will agree with me.

And lastly, the most annoying part of her song which makes me wanna get my hands into her face fast enough was where she mentioned that: God created a woman and attached the spirit of temptation to the woman. WTF?

Yes its really true women are full of temptations but that power is not from GOD. Temptation spirit is from the Devil’s workshop! Satan manufactured that power not GOD. It’s even in the bible, reading through the book of genesis, you will notice in a verse that, God cautioned the first man and woman (Adam & Eve) not to temper with the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden. But however the serpent got the woman eve to taste that apple which Diamond is trying to refer to in her track and there the first woman got civilized by the serpent’s aid.

A good and perfect video with no profane props or object in it but yet the track is a BORLA SONG.

Let’s kindly and honestly get certain stuffs in our entertainment industry right guys. The word is Entertainment not Enterblasphament. It’s a real pity all these good for nothing sound track gets good promos, good managers and producers to help graduate them to a new class of good living whilst the good ones are been dumped for no reason. THAT IS THE CORRUPTED WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT.

PLEASE! Do Not Take This PERSONAL.

Yvonne Nelson’s role in the yet-to-be-released ‘Wanna Be’ movie is causing tension in the showbiz industry following reports that the movie was purposely written to slight a particular female hiplife musician who has been spreading false rumours about the actress.

‘Wanna Be’ is a rib-cracking all-stars comedy that tells the true-life story of a lower class woman who wanted to belong to the class of the elite in society and therefore painfully lived a life far expensive than what she could afford.

Reports said the movie was written because of a female musician, well known for dressing half-naked and fighting with policemen on duty, who recently started spreading reports on BB, twitter and other social network sites that Yvonne wears and deals in fake clothing and bags.

She even got a few media houses to blow up the story in what was believed to be a ‘pull her down’ strategy against Yvonne and her YN Boutique.

“She is like that. If she wants to get what you have but cannot afford it, she starts to spoil your name and that was what she did to Yvonne. Some of us even deleted her from our BB but you know it is a class war because she wants to be what she is not,” the source noted.

Meanwhile, the movie producers are uneasy about the development and have explained that the storyline was purely coincidental and has nothing to do with the smear campaign against Yvonne.

The actress, on her part, seems bent on proving she is not a pushover as she is gradually becoming the hottest actress in Ghana, especially after her one year controversial ban.

Not long ago, she was rated as the most sought-after actress in Nollywood but back home, her critics started spreading reports that Yvonne could only play romantic roles.

In what seems to be a rebuttal to that criticism, she said the ‘Wanna Be’ movie was her 55th Independent anniversary gift to her fans and Ghanaians in general.

The movie will be premiered at the National Theatre in Accra on 6th March, a day which marks Ghana’s 55th Independence.

Nelson, together with other stars in the movie- Prince David Osei, Eddie Nartey, Zynell Zuh, Nana Akua and a host of others- will be at the National Theatre during the premiere to interact with their fans, sign autographs and pose for photo shots.

NEWS-ONE sources said Yvonne would also use the event to give her fans an opportunity to see for themselves that she did not wear fake designer stuff as speculated by the particular female singer known for dressing half-nuud.

Nigeriafilms.com reports that veteran actor Hakeem Rahman was recently caught on Okada, the popular means of transportation in Lagos

“The veteran Nollywood actor and one of the political henchmen of Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, Mr. Hakeem Rahman needs a car urgently,” the website included.

This is because the star actor, who has interpreted over 100 roles in both movies and soap operas, does not have a good car that can take him to events and movie locations.

Recently, it was discovered that Rahman joins any of his colleagues who are attending the same event with him in their cars whenever he gets the opportunity and when he does not get such, he is seen hopping on motorbikes, popularly called ‘Okada’, in Lagos State.

Most times, the actor sweats profusely after struggling to meet up with his appointments and having witnessed this incident many times, his fans and well-wishers are beginning to plead with well-meaning Nigerians to come to his aid and provide him with a means of mobility.

The rapper and his team will pitch camp at the palace of the Chief of Tamale, Dakpema Dawuni Abdulai and their mission would be to screen the estimated 1,200 Ghanaians free-of-charge as part of his nationwide Hepatitis B screening which started last year.

Okyeame Kwame, who disclosed this on Monday, said the screening which is powered by his Okyeame Kwame Hepatitis B Foundation (supported by the MTN-Ghana Foundation) had so far screened about 38,000 Ghanaians, and hoped his aim of reaching 5,000 Ghanaians with free Hepatitis B screening would be achieved on Saturday.

Last year, the foundation organized free Hepatitis B campaigns – including education and screenings – in some parts of the country.

In all, about 38,000 Ghanaians benefited from free medical attention and screening at events held at the British Council Hall and Kwame Nkrumah Circle (in Accra), Prempeh Assembly Hall, KNUST Campus and Ayigya Taxi Rank (in Kumasi), the Methodist Church at Nkawkaw (Eastern region), and the Market Circle at Takoradi, among others.

Okyeame Kwame said in a press statement, “Because my overall target is to screen 5,000 Ghanaians in the short term, and I am hoping that we reach that figure in Tamale. This, therefore, means that we’re going to hopefully screen 1,200 at the Chief’s Palace in Tamale, so I entreat everybody, including women and children to come there in their numbers.”

He explained that apart from the support that his Hepatitis B Foundation enjoys from MTN-Ghana Foundation and MDS Lancet Laboratory, the free screening drive also secures funding through proceeds from the sale of his album – The Clinic.

“As I have said, 20 per cent of the sales I make from my album go into the free Hepatitis screening, so if you patronize my album, you’re supporting a good cause,” Okyeame Kwame added, as he sent words of gratitude to Coca Cola “for supporting us with drinks to refresh everybody we screen.”

Okyeame Kwame, real name Kwame Nsiah-Apau, is also set to drop a single on Hepatitis B later this year to help the campaign.

(CNN) — Eurozone finance ministers sealed a deal Tuesday morning for a second bailout for Greece, including €130 billion ($173 billion) in new financing.

The finance ministers from the 17 nations that use the euro, known as the Eurogroup, gave Greece the funding it needs to avoid a potential default next month.

While this new deal provides some short-term relief for Greece, difficult days lie ahead as the government tries to trim debt to 121% of the country’s gross domestic product by 2020. Greece’s debt now stands at about 160% of GDP.

The announcement came at an early morning press conference in Brussels after a marathon meeting of more than 13 hours. “In the past two years and again this night, I’ve learned that ‘marathon’ is indeed a Greek word,” said Olli Rehn, vice president of the European Commission. “But in the end we came to an agreement in a very far-reaching and important agreement.”

“It’s clear that the Greek economy cannot rely anymore on a large public administration financed by cheap debt, but rather needs to lean on investment both Greek and foreign,” Rehn said.

“This should give Greece enough space to improve its competitiveness,” added Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, saying that the goal of the terms of the new bailout is to create growth for the Greek economy. “There are downside risks, that is clear.”

Greece is in its fifth year of recession, and the government reported last week that Greece’s GDP, the broadest measure of a nation’s economic output, fell 6.8% last year.

That’s much worse than the 6% contraction the government originally predicted. Fourth-quarter GDP also continued to decline, shrinking 7%, compared with a 5% decrease in the third quarter.

This new program will give “financial stability in Greece and in the euro area as a whole,” the Eurogroup said in a statement announcing the deal. “The Eurogroup is fully aware of the significant efforts already made by the Greek citizens but also underlines that further major efforts by the Greek society are needed to return the economy to a sustainable growth path.”

An austerity pact was approved by the Greek parliament on February 12, leading to some of the worst riots in the country in recent years. The package, which included deep cuts in government spending, wages and pensions, helped pave the way for eurozone finance ministers to sign off on Tuesday’s new bailout deal.

Tuesday’s bailout deal “certainly removes some near-term risk,” said Frederick Neumann, senior economist for HSBC in Hong Kong. “I think it’s clear that questions will emerge whether Greece can stomach these cuts.”

Greece has also hammered out a plan to write down €100 billion worth of Greek government bonds and swap existing debt for securities with lower interest rates, a deal that would result in losses of 53.5% of nominal value for the private sector.

“There are details to be worked out. Big work is done now, I think that will provide relief to financial markets,” Neumann said. “But it’s difficult to see this turning around the Greek economy anytime soon.”

While the Greek economy is small compared to other eurozone countries — “about the size of Connecticut compared to the rest of the United States,” Neumann said — the real threat is keeping the debt crisis and borrowing costs from spiraling to larger economies in the eurozone. A default by Greece could spark “a Lehman-like event,” he said, referring to the collapse of the investment bank that catalyzed the 2008 financial crisis.

“I think we understand these issues much better than we did three years ago,” Neumann said. “Kicking these issues down the road has been useful to some extent” because a default would be less likely to take the markets by surprise, he added.

“The next hurdle is to create a firewall to put up sufficient money to know that Ireland and Portugal won’t be next,” Neumann said. “This today is really short-term relief, but we’ll probably be looking at these issues (at) some point.”

There has been some speculation that Greece might exit the eurozone, but Eurogroup president Jean-Claude Juncker stressed ahead of Monday’s meeting that Greece should remain a member of the euro currency union.

“It is the intention of nobody to have Greece outside of the eurozone,” he said. “That would be a bad solution for Greece and … a bad solution for the euro area.”

The latest Summary of Data Verification for the SIM registration, available from the National Communication Authority (NCA), indicates that as at February 6, 2012, 5,580,875 various identity cards presented for SIM registration were rendered invalid.

Meanwhile there is another 1,457,858 cards that have been submitted but are yet to be verified by the respective agencies such as the Passport Office, Electoral Commission (EC), Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), and the National Identification Authority (NIA).

Again the NCA has confirmed that as at January 16, 2012 the total number of data submitted for verification stood at 22,708,716, which the NCA said was 98% of the total number of mobile subscriptions in Ghana; so the remaining two per cent, which is about 463,443 subscriptions have not even bothered to register.

So in total, 5,580,875 plus 1,457,858 plus 463,443, which is equal to 7,502,176 (33%) mobile subscriptions face possible deactivation come March 3, 2012, some through no fault of theirs.

Out of the total IDs either declared invalid or unchecked, 3,048,242 are MTN numbers; 2,066,301 are Vodafone numbers; 936,143 are Tigo numbers; 924,216 are Airtel numbers, and the remaining 56,355 are Expresso numbers.

The data also shows as at January 16, 2012, MTN had submitted 9,162,599 registration data for verification; Vodafone came second with 5,425,911 submissions, Tigo came third with 4,821,288 submissions, followed by Airtel with 3,103,779 submissions and Expresso followed with 195,139 submissions.

The NCA has recently stated in a press release it would not extend the March 3, 2012 legally mandated deadline, no matter what.

It has therefore asked the telecom operators to follow up with their subscribers whose registrations have been declared invalid to go regularise their registration or they would be deactivated on March 3, 2012.

The telecom operators face sanctions under the newly passed SIM Registration Regulation if they refuse to deactivate unregistered numbers on March 3, 2012.

But the telecom operators have argued that, in as much as they are ready to deactivate the 463,443 subscriptions, whose owners have not bothered to register, and of those whose ID cards were actually found to be fake, they have a difficulty deactivating those whose registration may have been made invalid due to human error at either the registration or manual verification point.

In several meetings between the NCA and telecom CEO’s, the latter have argued that they have managed to get back to several of the subscribers to go regularise their registration but those subscribers submitted the same identification cards and particulars, which were declared invalid during the manual verification at the various agencies.

The telecom operators provided a common short code, 400, to which all subscribers on every network are required to send a blank text message and receive a reply that would indicate whether one’s SIM card is registered or not.

British boxers David Haye and Dereck Chisora are suspected of committing offences that could carry prison sentences following their Munich brawl, German prosecutors told BBC Sport.

Haye is suspected of grievous bodily harm – a crime which, if proven, carries a prison sentence of six months to 10 years, prosecutors said.

Chisora, who admitted his behaviour was “inexcusable”, is under suspicion of malicious injury, which carries a jail sentence of up to five years, and making a “threat”.

The latter is a lesser offence punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to one year.

Haye and Chisora clashed after Chisora’s defeat by defending WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko on Saturday night.

The Zimbabwean-born boxer issued a statement where he apologised “wholeheartedly” for his “part in the regrettable scenes both before and after what was to be the biggest night of my career.”

He added: “Whilst my behaviour was inexcusable, there were many things that went on behind the scenes that ultimately caused my frustrations to boil over, however this is of course no excuse.

“Despite all of this, the bottom line is, I have let my family, my team and worst of all the sport I love down.”

Haye said in a statement he would, if requested, “happily assist the boxing authorities with any investigation they wish to launch”.

He added: “I realise I am no angel – and don’t mind a bit of professional trash-talk to help raise boxing’s profile – but, during my 21 years in the sport, I have never been involved in, or even witnessed, such a serious fracas.”

Haye left the country on a plane before he could be questioned by police.

“I decided to leave the venue and return to my hotel, a move which I hoped would defuse the situation,” his statement added. “However, Chisora’s team were staying at the same hotel as me and, in light of the threats Chisora made in front of the world’s media, it seemed more appropriate for me and Adam to leave the hotel as quickly as possible.

“Consequently, I left Munich on an earlier flight on Sunday morning and have been thinking about what happened ever since, as well as replaying the incident many times via YouTube. It goes without saying, I am bitterly disappointed to have been a part of what transpired on Saturday evening.”

Chisora and his trainer Don Charles were arrested at the city’s airport before being released on Sunday evening. Chisora did not speak to journalists when he arrived back at London’s Heathrow airport on Sunday night.

On top of a police investigation, the British Boxing Board of Control General Secretary, Robert Smith, says Haye and Chisora could face life bans from the sport.

“It’s a possibility,” Smith told BBC Radio 5 live. “The board have many powers. They can fine, they can suspend and they can withdraw a licence.”

The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) have confirmed that Chisora has been called to appear before a BBofC hearing on Wednesday, 14 March in relation to his conduct before and after his fight against Vitali Klitschko in Munich.

“With regard to Mr David Haye, Mr Haye is not a licensed boxer with the British Boxing Board of Control and therefore no longer under our jurisdiction.”

Although Haye has retired from the sport, the board could choose to effectively ban him by denying him a licence if he seeks to fight again.

The scenes unfolded after Haye showed up at the news conference to confront Vitali Klitschko, who he believes changed his mind on a potential fight between the pair.

But that sparked a verbal exchange with Haye and Chisora squaring up to each other before a brawl ensued.

Chisora accused Haye of “glassing him”, before saying at least four times that he would shoot the former WBA heavyweight champion.

He added: “If David don’t fight me, I am going to physically burn him.”

Smith said the scuffle ranked among of the lowest moments in British boxing history.

“I’m very disappointed and very saddened that, in a sport I love, I have to deal with this,” he added.

“I have to speak to the German Boxing Federation and German police and then take appropriate action. This is not good, it’s bad, we have to deal with it accordingly.”

Chisora has had part of his fight purse withheld by the World Boxing Council after slapping Klitschko at the pre-fight weigh-in on Friday.

Chisora spat water towards Klitschko’s brother, Wladimir, moments before Saturday night’s bout began.

More controversy followed when Chisora exchanged words with the Klitschko brothers after the result was announced.

Former Black Stars striker Felix Aboagye has indicated that, players of the Black Stars team must stop the practice of taking breaks from the team any time they are been criticized.

Felix Aboagye made this comment on the back of a request by striker Asamoah Gyan to take a short break from national team duties to cool off from public criticism. The Al-Ain striker gained the displeasure of many Ghanaian fans when he missed a penalty against Zambia at the Nations Cup.

According to Felix Aboagye, public criticism is one thing that Black Stars players must learn to live with since it comes with the game just like when they are hailed for good performances.

“In football many things will happen to you and if you want to go forward you must accept whatever that comes your way”. He told JOY Sports

“When you quit the national team it will affect your career, we all need the national team while the national team also needs us”.

In a related development, an executive committee member of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie has told JOY Sports Asamoah Gyan will return earlier than the speculated September date.

The founder and Leader of the United Renaissance Party (URP), Charles Kofi Wayo, has described President John Evans Atta Mills as being too weak and not having the dynamism to move the country forward.

According to him, the president, instead of seeking remedies to develop the country, rather indulged himself in religious activities.

“President Mills is too weak and religious to fight corruption in the country and does not have the forceful ideas to push the country forward; that is why I want to become the president of Ghana,” Mr. Wayo noted.

Mr. Wayo made this known when addressing a section of the youth of Ada during the inaugural ceremony of the Federation of Dangme Youth Association (FDYA) at Big-Ada in the Dangme-East District of the Greater Accra Region.

He called on government to arrest former Minister of Education, Betty Mould-Iddrisu, for refusing to prosecute Woyome when the issue was first brought to her attention.

According to him, Ghanaians should stop blaming Alfred Agbesi Woyome for corrupt practices but blame the weak institutions in the country.

“Woyome saw an opportunity in the weak system in Ghana and took advantage of them to enrich himself. He should not be blamed for the money paid to him.”

He called on the president to demonstrate to Ghanaians that he was committed to fighting corruption in the country, accusing, “Leaders of today’s Ghana for not having the fear of God in them.”

The outspoken politician called on the youth to rise up and fight for their right and stop putting their trust in the politicians to better their lives.

The propaganda secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress and MP aspirant for Keta, Richard Quashigah believes what is supposed to be a “gargantuan” rally by the NPP over the weekend did not live up to its billing.

Speaking with intended sarcasm, Richard Quashigah said that “if the NDC was to hold a Greater Accra Regional rally at Mantse Agbona, the whole place will be full to capacity”.

“Even Odododiodoo alone can marshal our supporters (NDC) to fill the place”.

Reacting to Nana Akufo-Addo’s message to his supporters at the rally held at the weekend to the effect that the NDC had no message for Ghanaians, Richard Quashigah said the NPP flagbearer has decided to put on “double mask” so he wouldn’t see what the President is doing. Quashigah believes Nana Addo on his nationwide listening tour did not see most developmental projects on-going in the country.

The propaganda secretary challenged the opposition leader to come out and tell Ghanaians what success he (Nana Addo) chalked as a cabinet member and a Member of Parliament, adding that if Nana Addo had consulted “men and women of wisdom” in the NPP, he would have been advised not to talk about personal records and compared himself with the sitting President, John Mills.

In an interview with Xfm Big Bite host, Abena Asiedua Tenkorang, Richard Quashigah said Nana Addo’s quick dismissal of claims he is a violent person is a cliché, however, he (Nana Addo) has refused to apologize to Ghanaians about his infamous “All die be die” statement; saying international concerns about Nana Addo’s character discredit him to lead this nation.

“We the NDC are concerned about his (Nana Addo) refusal to deny the allegation of his use of hard drugs, which is a conviction not just by Ghanaians, but the intentional community especially the Americans”.

“Nana Addo should come out and clear the air about all this allegations mentioned against him”.

“Ghanaians are looking for a leader who will be very clean, because we all know what narcotic drugs can do to a society” Richard Quashigah lamented.

“A man’s gift will bring him before Kings, but what will maintain him there is his character, so no matter how talented you are, if you lose character, you will lose it all” Richard Quashigah stated.

On the issues of policies, the NDC’s Propaganda Secretary dared the NPP to come out and tell Ghanaians what they (NPP) achieved in their first four years in power.
